The Best Way to Manage Spam

How do you manage SPAM?

This is a serious blight on all our lives. I’ve just read that some cowboy got fined a frightening number of $millions for creating some 20% of all the SPAM in the world through his 32,000 PC botnet. Apparently he’d made $25 million pushing all those scammy drug ads.

He didn’t make any money out of me :=) but then I’ll only buy drugs through my doctor and pharmacy, More relevant is he didn’t get to spoil my day either. That rubbish they sent out never saw my inbox, and I didn’t have to pay a cent for somebody to intercept it for me.

Google does it for free.

The inspiration for this post arose from a chance glance at my SPAM box in Gmail. The number shown is 2025. Good old Gmail deletes it after 30 days, so that’s just the last month.

Gmail ROCKS.

I can’t see why anybody would use anything else.
