Which Type of Business Owner Do You Want to Be

Business owners fall into two categories – anal dictators or exciting leaders.

My bet is you’ll want to be seen in the latter category. (I’ve got that particular Tee shirt).

When times get tough, and our followers don’t deliver, the exciting leaders are the ones in the bankruptcy courts. The hangers on have left town.

On the other hand the anal dictators are still in business.  They might not be millionaires. They might not be revered by their teams.  They might not have achieved their aspirations.

But they’re still there in the game.

Anal dictators know they’re gonna be holding the parcel when the music stops so their job is making sure the music doesn’t stop.

How do they do that?

They manage, and managing means planning what’s supposed to happen, making sure it does and then reviewing the implications of what actually happened.

Don’t know about you? but I would like to be an exciting leader and actually I’m going to be an anal dictator.
