Paul gets to make money while he’s playing golf. Well not exactly, but you’ll get the point.
He’s an Insurance Agent managing insurances programs for an industry group.
Insurance companies aren’t the brightest stars in the universe. They average risk out and take bets on premiums and claims.
This particular industry has a problem. It provides services to companies with big risks – oil and gas, food, aerospace. The industry is smart and has ways of limiting liability. Unfortunately insurance companies aren’t and don’t have ways of accommodating reduced risk in premiums.
Paul’s found a niche – an insurance company which understands clients can manage risk and will price premiums appropriately.
He’s found an industry association which wants to provide value add to its members.
Now he needs a way of managing his exploitation of that niche. He needs to provide a service to the association – reduced premiums with enhanced cover to the members – and he needs to do this without extra cost.
Most of all he needs to find a way of making money, and still have time for himself and his family.
Paul’s problem is organizing all the dimensions of his business – keeping the association sweet, finding new members who will join because of the program, closing sales of insurance contracts and staying on top of customer service.
In the USA there are more than 1500 potential candidates for membership and the insurance scheme. The association has 250 members, of which more than 70 buy their insurance from Paul. On top of that he has another 50 active prospects – companies who’ve asked him to quote for their next renewal.
Traveling across the country means too much time in airports, and being out of touch could be disastrous
In this situation most people would need an army of virtual assistants.
But Paul does everything on his own with the help of his Front Office Box.
It’s always on-line so he can work wherever he is. It’s software as a service, so he doesn’t need to worry about technology or managing systems. It’s flexible so he can use it to manage relationships, plans and schedules in just the ways he wants to.
