No Secrets to Internet Marketing

Time for me to eat humble pie, again :-(

I owe an apology to the Search Engine Optimization community for my naive criticism over the last year.  The more I find out, the more I recognize the value some experts generously share.

I particularly owe an apology to Michael Campbell at Internet Marketing Secrets not because of anything I’ve said. But simply because I’ve had some of his podcasts on my iPod for a long time and never listened to them.

Now I’ve listened to them I understand so much more about the whole science of Internet Marketing.  And there aren’t any secrets, because of few people’s generosity.

Michael and the guests he interviews describe in detail how with simple hard work and attention to detail marketers can attract and engage visitors who are looking for what the site provides.

I’ve learned some of this the hard way over the last six months, but what I learned from the podcasts enabled me to leverage the stuff I already knew by a factor of 5 or more.

Anybody who’s interested in web sites as one dimension of their marketing strategy will do themselves a huge favor by going by downloading Michael’s podcasts, and “listening to them”  :-)
